Not only am I proud to support Australian made but a few of my friends were involved in the post-production and you have to admit, the CGI is ah-may-ZING!

It's Oh So Quiet

Just a quick post today and a shot of my little miserable sick BuBBa.

Things are very low key at the BuBble's household today.  That horrible, ugly gremlin called gastro got it's claws in to all of us over the last few days and we're all feeling very lethargic and sapped of all energy.

I'll be back tomorrow feeling better and ready for Friday Drool.

BuBba "enjoying" his first time in a jumping castle

Oh boy, what a weekend.  A busy weekend spent socialising and tidying/packing.  We had afternoon tea/s with friends (Saturday & Sunday) and met up with some close friends yesterday morning at Rushcutter's Bay who were visiting from interstate.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be the pattern for our remaining weekends in Sydney.

So much to do, so little time...

Shopping Spree

I may have gone a bit mad at Purebaby.

But hey, I got a free beach bag and it's actually decent!

Point + Shoot & Week-a-Boo

On Saturday morning the sun was shining and the birds were chirping so we got ourselves organised (relatively) early and set off to the local markets.  After a bacon and egg roll, complete with dripping barbecue sauce, and a hot coffee, we strolled through the markets and then wandered home.  

The little dude was obviously a bit knackered by this stage and didn't even notice that his cap had fallen over his eyes.

Then we tottered off to the shops to buy some bean bag beads to fill up this little beauty I bought from Louise at Table Tonic.  I've also bought a few of her gorgeous hand woven Ikat cushions.  When I manage to put it all together, I promise to show you a photo of the finished look.

Yesterday was a quieter day spent mainly at home starting to get ourselves sorted for the move.  We are clearing out a few things and there are now shoes, dresses, toys, bbq's and outdoor settings all on eBay waiting for some lucky people to snatch them up.

We did venture out of the house for a short while and took BuBba to the park for a swing.  As you can tell from the pic though, he was pretty grumpy.  Daddy BuBbles likes to be a man of mystery so I've blocked out his face for mystery's sake.

I love me a good rom-com and this star-packed movie is high on my radar.  

Due for release next month, I'll be trying to find a way to get myself to the movies, even if it means I'll be a Nigel No Friends.

Work Space Dreaming

It's cosy where we're living at the moment.  There's no room for a desk and our laptops currently reside on our dining table.  As such, we eat sitting on the floor at the coffee table more nights than not.

I've been dreaming of the day when I have a study.  Dreaming so much that I've been collecting snapshots of inspiration for when that day comes.  Maybe in Singapore...

Spreading the Word

I told all of my work colleagues today that I was leaving.  To say they were surprised was an understatement. 

One of my other colleagues dropped another bombshell at the same time (luckily I was privy to her secret prior).  She is leaving too and is packing up her young family and returning to Ireland. 

It's a lot for our workmates to digest and I think they were all shocked slightly.  Collectively my work colleague/friend and I have been back at work a grand total of 6 months since we both finished our maternity leave and now we're both heading off in to the distance.

I'm sad.  

I really do have a great job considering my profession and in years to come, if I ever do find myself back in Sydney looking for employment, I will be knocking on my work's door quick as a flash.  I may even resort to begging.

It's Official!!!

A while back I hinted, not so subtley, that something BIG was happening in the BuBble's household and then I promptly went all silent and shhhh, secret squirrel and said nothing again...  until now!

We signed the papers on Friday and I am excited to announce that...

WE ARE MOVING!!!

TO SINGAPORE!!!!

Bet you didn't see that coming, did you???

Holy schmoly, my head is swimming with all the things that we need to do before we head overseas but I am seriously excited about moving to a new place, a new country!

And I can't wait to share it all with you!

Friday Drool

Now that BuBba is getting older, I'm slowly but surely transforming his room from a neutral colour scheme to a more "boy" version of blue, red and white.

I'd love to buy him a little flip-out sofa and this is the one I'm lemming at the moment (but with navy & white stripes).

At $159 I'm not sure I can justify purchasing it.

The alternative is this little beauty that is at Kmart at the moment.  Although I'm not entirely sold on the print, at $35 they're a hell of a lot more budget friendly.

What do you think?  Stick with my intended colour scheme and purchase the gorgeous White and White chill out couch  or be sensible and go with the reasonably priced Kmart version???

My work colleagues have been at me forever to bring in BuBba for a bit of a show off and a little play.

Today we finally managed to make our way in but my poor little sweetie was one very tired munchkin.
